Wisdom.

Legend has it that deep down in the Fairytale Forest there is a lake filled with words of wisdom. All you have to do is stand in front of it with a pure heart of joy.

Our traveller arrived at the lake and kneeled down at the edge of it. Expecting an exact copy of himself staring back at him, he was a bit confused with what he saw. Was that a glimpse of a younger version of him in the reflection of the water? He had a feeling that he had been here before. Years ago…

A message appeared on the water: “Leave your message in the mirror of reflection and inspire the next generation.”

He took a deep breath and started his story.

It's as easy as pressing the recording button to leave a few words of wisdom.

The Steps.

Here is my story:

Open Clips and tap on the square icon in the upper left hand corner to start a new project.

Next tap on the speech bubble icon to choose a Live Title.

TIP: For this kind of activity I usually select titles down below.

Tap on the X on the right hand side.

Now tap and swipe up on the big red button to record your reflection.

TIP: Come closer to the microphone and speak with your teacher voice. Don’t worry if you make a mistake. We can always edit the text or worst case re-record the whole thing.

Once you are done reflecting, save your video.

Tap on the share button on the lower right hand corner.

Select Save Video.

Going Further.

Once your reflection is recorded in the mirror you can look at what wisdom previous visitors have left behind.

This is one of the activities that educators can participate in during The Playground at FETC and TCEA.

If you are inspired to try this yourself, have a look at the resources I used:
