Spring cleaning has started and my parents decided to clean up “my corner” on the attic. In other words, get ready for a trip down memory lane and digging up some real treasures – at least for me.

At the first try they hit the jackpot. My old stuffy, the one I carried around for years and went on countless adventures with me, popped out as if it had been holding its breath for all this time.

The years have gotten to it and I had forgotten that on one of the journeys it has lost a leg and an eye. That’s when I decided to revive him with parts from donors in the Shape Library in Keynote.

Keynote is like oxygen to my brain, fueling my imagination.

The Steps.

Here is my story:

Open Keynote and start from a blank new template.

Next tap on the plus sign at the upper right hand corner and tap on Camera.

Take a picture of your favorite toy by tapping on the white button.

Tap on Use Photo to insert the image.

Then tap on the plus sign at the upper right hand corner and add a shape from the Shape Library to will serve as your donor.

TIP: Have a look in the Animals category. Maybe you want your toy to have dragon wings or some octopus tentacles.

Add another basic shape and make sure it overlaps the animal shape. At this point you are going to subtract the parts you don’t need.

Touch and hold the first shape, then tap the other shapes you want to subtract.

Tap the Format button, then tap Arrange.

Tap Subtract.

Share your end result.

Going Further.

Get out your Apple Pencil and start drawing over the shapes to take it to the next level.

Write a letter to the donor and tell them how life has changed because of this opportunity.
