So many important events have happened recently at Independence Square, that the Creatives have decided to build a video wall with a timeline. Highlighting some of the most iconic moments.

Help them add interactivity to their timeline using Keynote.

Animations and transitions bring your timelines to life.

The Steps.

Here is my story:

Open Keynote and start from a blank new template.

Next tap on the plus sign at the upper right hand corner and add some basic shapes from the Shape Library. For this timeline example you want to select a line or a rectangle. Make sure it covers the full length of the slide.

TIP: Don’t try to make it all fit on the first slide. Look at your presentation as an ongoing timeline scrolling by.

Select a shape and style it accordingly by tapping on the paintbrush.

Now that your first part of the timeline is ready, tap on your slide and duplicate it.

Next tap on the first slide and select Transition. To create that endless scrolling feeling use the Push animation.

Add animation to your objects to bring the story to life.

Share your end result.

Going Further.

Add a narration to your timeline or export it as a movie for some b-roll.

This is one of the activities that educators can participate in during The Playground at ISTE.
