Behind The Scenes.

The storyteller comes to Independence Square and she needs an assistant for tonight’s performance. She spins around and eventually points her finger in your direction.

Step behind the curtain and learn all the secrets to her magic.

With a green screen and the iMovie video tools at my fingertips, anything is possible.

Kurt Klynen

First create some characters for your story and setup a green screen stage.

Open the camera and capture some pictures that you will use as a background.

Switch your camera to video now and record your story in front of a green screen.

Check if all the photos and videos are in Photos.

Edit them by adding filters, crop them and add elements using the Mark Up feature.

TIP: When you record several green screen videos, bundle them into an album in your Photo Library.

Next open iMovie and tap on the plus sign to create a new project.

Then tap on Movie.

Select the background photos and tap on Create Movie.

Next tap on the plus sign at the upper right hand corner and find your green screen video in either the Video album or the album you created earlier.

Tap on the video and select the three dots.

Choose Green/Blue Screen from the menu.

The video will be transferred to your timeline above the photo background.

TIP: Tap on the green screen video to adjust the settings even more.

Now that everything is in place, we can edit the video, add titles, sounds, etc.

Tap on any video in your timeline and select one of the options to edit it or add titles.

Once you are ready to preview your masterwork, tap on the play button.
