Catwalk.

Roll out your red carpet because the new collection has arrived.

Journalists and fashionistas from all over the globe gather to see the latest creations. And this year they are all looking forward to the creations of this up and coming talent: You!

Grab your iPad, your Apple Pencil and fire up your camera. The theme for this year’s collection is patterns.

Try taking pictures from patterns to design your own clothing. Combine Everyone Can Create Photography and Drawing.

The Steps.

Here is my story:

First open your camera app and look around. What kind of patterns can you detect. Take a picture of them.

Open Keynote and start from a blank new template.

Delete any of the remaining text boxes.

Then tap on the plus sign at the upper right hand corner and add one of the models you will be designing for.

Next tap on the screen with your Apple pencil and start sketching your wardrobe. Try adding shapes from the shapes library to add some final touches.

After this it is time to insert the patterns and bring these creations to life.

Tap on the shape and then on the paintbrush. Go to Style and choose an image for the filling. Select one of your pattern images and adjust where necessary.

Share your results.

Going Further.

The audience was wild and the reviews are raving. We can’t wait to see your next designs.

This is one of the activities that educators can participate in during The Playground.
